Hot off the press

The great thing about working in communication, film, and media is that your new work is wonderfully visible and easily shareable with anyone. Here’s my latest news.

Longread for Soundcircus

Sound studio Soundcircus has mastered the art of sourcing and recording voice sounds for three decades. But now, they’ve upped their game by crafting brand new voices with their Soundcircus Intelligent Speech System. ALDI was the first to embrace this unique Soundcircus AI advertising voice. And I had the chance to explore the ins and outs with its creators for an in-depth feature on their website.

Graphic designs for dutch series reboot

Immensely popular 90s television series Medisch Centrum West is making its comeback with a brand-new series of episodes. Filming is underway in an abandoned hospital, and I designed posters, flyers, stickers, and signs to decorate the sets with. No spoilers though… So just a picture from the old series here!

Interviews voor GVB

I always enjoy hearing people talk about what they’re good at. So when I was asked to do interviews for GVB’s careers website, it was an instant yes. Özgür told me about repairing the North-South Line, I interviewed Günther and Joël about their tram line and life together, and I also spoke with Renate, Tsi-Jan and Johar about their jobs at GVB.

The Summer’s a wrap

During these past months, Skiff, How to Win at Life, and the second season of dutch TV series Tenminste houdbaar tot were all in production. I handled hand props and graphic design, keeping busy through the (late) summer. It’ll be a bit before they hit the screens though; they’re all slated for release in the new year.

We won a lamp

With the whole team from Steam, DPPLR and Initiative, we were proud recipients of a Dutch Creativity Award for our work on the recruitment campaign Ik ga nooit bij de politie (I’ll never join the police force).

Olga Ponjee’s book launched…

… and I got to design the cover! Olga wanted it to have an old omnibus feel, as if it were printed with gold on linen. And that idea turned out really well in print. Or, as Olga put it, “It really messes with your head, this cover!” Oneindig has been printed in a limited edition of only 50 copies, but it’s also available for purchase as an e-book.
